Problems turn into tools
The Problems tab has been renamed to Tools. In addition, the Duplicate Files Tool is no longer opened directly but an overview with various tools. This allows me to create more and more small tools for the mod manager without it becoming confusing.
Furthermore, you can now also favorite these tools and pin them to the navigation bar.
CC Swiper (New Tool)
Under the "Fun Tools" group is the previously announced CC Swiper. This is an app for iOS and Android that allows you to find new CC from CurseForge or sort out CC that are already installed.
You can find more detailed information in the Mod Manager directly.
Create a Sim (New Tool)
Another tool of the "Fun" group is Create a Sim. With this tool I tried to mimic Create a Sims from the game as good as possible. Now you can see your CAS CC (similar to Sims 4 Studio) directly in 3D and even test different outfit combinations. Even different swatches can be loaded.
Unfortunately, this is currently only possible for Adult CC. And some CC may also be displayed incorrectly.
Polycount (New Tool)
Most CC contain meshes. These meshes are basically just a list of triangles often called polygons or faces. These polygons then make up a three-dimensional object. The more polygons used, the more accurate/detailed the object. However, more power is then needed to display it.
With this new tool you can check which of your CC contains how many polygons.
New dup tools (New Tool)
Previously, the Mod Manager could only display duplicate files with completely identical content. Now you can also display files which just share the same name.
In older versions of Mod Manager some files were renamed with [D1], [D2].... In the past this was necessary for the mod manager to work properly. This is no longer the case, but many users still have files that contain [D?] in the name. With this tool you can display these files and undo the renaming.
3D Viewer (File info)
You can now also display individual CAS elements of a package file. The different LOD (Level of details) and swatches will be displayed.
Faster detection for duplicate files (optimization)
Thanks to the help of Discord user Sinner, the search for duplicate files is significantly quicker.
