Quick CAS Preview
Press and hold the left mouse button to view a preview of the CAS elements on a file. To exit this view, simply click anywhere else.
Currently this preview only works for Create a Sim items, but in future updates it is also planned to work for other CC types.
Alternativ Overview (Basic)
A new alternative view called ‘Basic’ is now available in the Overview. This view combines elements of the default Overview and Folders. In this new view, you can view, rename, and delete your folders, as well as browse the content within them. Additionally, you can apply cover images to folders for better organization.
Last moved to
You can now see the folders you last moved files to, streamlining the file-moving process for quicker access. If you don’t need this feature, you can easily disable it in the settings.
Streamlining the UI
Some parts of the UI were not very uniform. Although it’s not perfect yet, I’ve made some improvements to enhance its consistency.
Navbar editor
Everyone uses the Mod Manager differently. To accommodate this, you can now customize the order of the buttons in the navigation bar or remove some entirely. You can find the navigation bar editor in the settings under ‘Program Behavior & Appearance.’
Improved game detection
The Mod Manager can now detect if the game is running. If it is, certain features will be disabled to avoid issues. Additionally, you can now launch the game directly from the Mod Manager.
New filter options
There is now a new filter option "Advanced package content" in the filter in Overview and Folders. This filter can search for specific files inside your package files. So far it is only possible to search for "Loading screen" and "CAS Background" CC, but this will be extended in the future.
New Settings options
It is now possible to change the homepage of the Mod Manager from Overview to Folders. Furthermore, it is now also possible to change the default tab inside Overview (Main folders, Basic, CurseForge).
Another new setting is the mode for the page feature. You can now select from different layouts for the Next/Previous page buttons.
Changlog view
In upcoming updates, you’ll be able to view the changelog for pending updates directly within the Mod Manager.
Disable packs tools
This tool replicates James Turner’s online tool for deactivating Sims Kits & Packs. Simply click on the packs or kits you don’t want in the game and start the game using the Mod Manager. If you wish to disable the packs permanently (even without the Mod Manager), you can copy the “Advanced launch options” from the Mod Manager and add them to the EA App.
Empty folder tool
It is a small and rather simple tool that searches for empty folders in your mod folder and displays them for you.
Sims 4s Mod Setting tool
The Mod Manager automatically displays these settings if the Sims 4 mod settings aren’t in the recommended state. Now, you can also access them as a tool to change the settings without starting the game.
Sim Plumbob color tool (TOOL IS BROKEN)
(Unfortunately, the tool is currently broken and has been removed in the next update.)
This handy tool allows you to change the color of the plumbob hovering above the active Sim. Just click on the color field, choose your desired color, confirm, and then start the game. This tool edits a file in the Sims 4 game files. Unfortunately, this is only possible on Windows, so this tool is not available on Mac.
