Since the Mod Manager is a standalone program, I can publish updates independently of new Sims 4 updates. It is only rarely the case that I have to adjust something in the Mod Manager for a Sims 4 update.
Updates are released approximately every 2-3 months, depending on how many and how complex the new features are.
If a new version of the Mod Manager is available, a notification will be displayed in the navigation bar. (An internet connection is required to check for updates)

. The download should then start in the background. To install the update manually, you can basically use the normal installation instructions.
The installer will automatically overwrite the older versions of the software, so that they do not need to be uninstalled. If errors occur after updating, uninstalling the previous version may resolve them.

At the beginning of the setup you should be informed that the program is being reinstalled/updated.

The development of new features often introduces bugs and problems. To find these before the official release, I usually publish pre-release versions of the mod manager on my Discord Server. This way the community can help me find bugs or suggest improvements for new features.
These pre-release versions work the same as a manual update, and will also be installed over any previous releases.
